1. Build with the older ldap that builds.
2. Build with APR 2 and beg forgiveness when the wrath of fury comes from the APR project for distributing an unreleased version.
I'm leaning on #1 obviously, it seems the safest route however there is no guarantee that authn_ldap is going to work due to the load order problem that seemed to start the second portion of this mess in the first place. The first obviously was dumping ldap into httpd.
The only other thing I see viable is to jump into that heated discussion over ldap currently in progress and ask simply "what about APR 2 not being released does not constitute technical grounds for reverting this change in question." This is something I prefer not getting into the middle of.
